it's easy to feel like a spring reset has to be a big thing. a full clear out, a whole new colour scheme, a week off work.
but honestly, just the small things can make such a difference. so here's a weekend itinerary i actually stand by. start friday evening, finish sunday afternoon, and your home and your head will feel genuinely different by monday.
table of content
don't try to do the whole house. pick one room, set a ten minute timer, tidy just that room, and stop.
then light a soy wax melt on your favourite wax burner. put your favourite playlist on. cook something and actually enjoy it. it's a small thing but it shifts the whole mood of the evening.
fresh sheets before bed too. starting the weekend feeling cosy makes everything else feel more possible.
open the windows first. even a crack. there's something about fresh air moving through the house that makes it feel properly awake.
then work through each main room with a 10 minute timer. set the timer before you start. without it, you'll end up reorganising one shelf for an hour and running out of energy before lunch.
while you're at it, go through the makeup and toiletries you're never going to use. and sort that one drawer. you know the one that's been driving you crazy for ages. the one that's just got really random bits in it.
grab some flowers from a local market or independent florist (remember to shop small!). placed in a spot you'll see them through the day, even a small bunch makes the house feel different.
this is also a good moment to think about fragrance. if you've had a heavier winter reed diffuser going since november, switching to something lighter genuinely changes how a room feels.
there's something about switching to a lighter scent when the seasons change. it just makes a room feel like it's moved on too.
swap out heavy blankets or cushion covers for lighter textures if you have them. and in the evening, treat yourself properly. takeaway, a glass of wine, whatever that looks like for you.
get outside for a walk if you can. even a short one.
then take a longer shower or bath than you normally would. do the laundry, wash up, and spend 10 minutes on digital clutter. delete the junk emails, sort the camera roll, tidy the apps.
it takes almost no time and you feel the difference straight away.
restock the essentials you've run out of at home. choose one small space to restyle. just one. the hallway table, a shelf, the coffee table. small changes in small spaces add up.
plan three meals for the week ahead so monday morning doesn't start with a blank. bring out your lighter spring clothing if they've been packed away... it's all about layers at this time of year!
give your reed diffuser reeds a flip. i do this every week to keep the fragrance going strong. and if you're running low or just fancy a change of scent, a diffuser refill pouch means you can top up or switch things up without replacing the whole bottle.
end the day with a brain dump. everything in your head, onto paper. then a loose plan for the week. nothing strict, just enough to feel ready.
if part of the reset involves switching up your home fragrance for spring, i'll be launching the botanical collection on thursday 9th april. lighter, fresher scents made for this time of year.
when you shop with elena London, you are supporting a small uk business. it is just me behind the scenes pouring, labelling, answering emails and packing every order.
so whether you are choosing a reed diffuser, refill, wax melts, a car diffuser, room spray or one of my ready made gift sets, thank you.
and if you are gifting one of my fragrances this mother’s day, i hope it makes her feel as appreciated as she truly is 🤍

when the light starts changing is usually when i feel ready for something lighter. heavier, warmer scents are perfect for winter but spring tends to call for something fresher. it's one of those swaps that takes two minutes and completely changes the feel of a room.
i flip mine every week. it boosts the fragrance back up and keeps it going strong. if you've not flipped yours in a while, do it now and you'll notice the difference straight away.
when the oil is running low or you fancy a change of scent. the elena London diffuser refill pouch means you can top it up without replacing the whole bottle.
